Hidden Lane Stable Barn Rules

Thank you for choosing Hidden Lane Stable LLC at 11721 W. 52nd Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 

Please read and sign the following for our records.

UNDER COLORADO LAW, AN EQUINE PROFESSIONAL IS NOT LIABLE FOR AN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF EQUINE ACTIVITIES, PURSUANT TO SECTION 13-21-119 COLORADO REVISED STATUTES.

Welcome to Hidden Lane Stable! Please help us make this a welcoming space for people of all ages, genders, races, beliefs, and views; and horses of all breeds, colors, sizes, and disciplines.

Be kind.  To each other, the horses, the neighbors, and yourself.

Leave everything cleaner and tidier than you found it.  Be sure to scoop manure into a muck bucket wherever you may be.

Please do not interact with horses you do not know. This includes feeding and petting.

If you see something that concerns you, please notify a trainer or management immediately!

You are responsible for any guests you bring on the property.  Please make sure they are aware of all barn rules and have signed the liability release.

Barn hours are 7am-9pm. If your horse is sick or you need to stay after hours, please consult with the manager.  Please respect the privacy of those that live on the property and do not approach the house for any reason unless something is on fire.  

  • No drugs, tobacco products, or alcohol on property or within 20 feet of the entrance

  • No dogs

  • No horseplay

  • No firearms

  • Closed-toed shoes must be worn inside the barn and arenas

  • No slander, backbiting, or harmful gossip will be tolerated

  • Please talk to your trainer or the manager for any changes in feed - do not help yourself to any feed, including hay, without permission.

  • Do not borrow anything without permission

  • Please enter the barn through the front clubhouse door or the side-door off the parking lot if the main door is closed - the arena may be in use.

  • Please call “door”  when entering the indoor arena from any side

  • No more than 5 horses in the indoor arena at one time. 

  • Please ask before lunging.

  • Helmets must be worn at all times while mounted.

  • Helmets must be worn when entering an area with a horse for individuals under age 15.

  • No jumping without a trainer present

  • Turnout in outdoor arena only allowed if no one is riding.  Please stay with your horse while turned out.  No turnout in the indoor arena.  

  • No horses allowed on the stairs, patio, or in the clubhouse.

  • Tie only to appropriate tie rings or hitching posts  - never to fence panels in turnouts, arenas, or roundpen.  

  • Please leave a notice on the whiteboard if you take your horse off property.  Include your name, date, place you are going, and when you plan to be back.

  • Limit washing to one load per month.  Do not overload the machine!

  • Limit washrack time to conserve water.  Bucket baths or 5-minute hose-downs are fine, but please limit full baths to no more than one time per week.

  • Speed limit on property is 5mph - please watch carefully for children and small animals (cats and chickens, in particular)

  • Changes to feed or repair requests must be given to your trainer or  management in writing.  

  • Please ask before attaching anything to a stall.  

  • Please don’t hang anything except a halter and lead on your stall. You may keep one trunk in front of your stall.

  • Please park only in the parking lot in the most southern spot available.  Do not block the overhead door.

  • Rules are subject to change per notification by management.
